Puppy Playdates in Sydney
Did you know that puppies learn crucial socialisation skills through play?
Puppies learn good manners and important communication skills when interacting and playing with each other. That’s why a puppy school is always a great idea! However it’s not always enough, sometimes puppies need more playtime than what is offered in puppy schools. Or maybe you joined a puppy school that doesn’t offer puppy playtime. Well, I have a solution for you! Eazy Dog Training offers puppy playdates in Sydney!
Modern studies have taught us the importance of early socialisation. Studies show that the first 16 weeks are crucial for socialisation and puppies must socialise with other dogs within that time to avoid severe behavioural issues later on such as timidness, anxiety and fear-based aggression.
Puppy Playdates in Marrickville!
Book your puppy in for playtime and learn how to manage and supervise your puppy at the same time!
Play is only play if it’s mutual. Puppies learn all the time and they don’t automatically know how to communicate and play well with others. Some do and some don’t! This is a skill they must learn just like everything else. This means that playtime should also be managed and supervised by you so that your dog doesn’t learn any bad habits.
Supervised Playtime with an Experienced Dog Trainer!
There will be an experienced dog trainer supervising all the puppy playdates and educating you on how to support your puppy’s learning when it comes to playtime and good social skills. This way you will be able to help your puppy to become a polite playmate and prevent issues due to lack of good social manners.
Play equipment such as a tunnel and snuffle mat is also included for the pups to investigate.

What is puppy training?
Puppy training is the process of teaching your puppy essential skills and good behaviour from an early age. It focuses on basic commands like sit, stay, come, and leash manners, as well as socialisation, impulse control, and problem-solving. Puppy training helps your dog develop good habits, builds a strong bond between you and your dog, and sets the foundation for a well-behaved dog in adulthood. It also addresses important skills for dealing with distractions, meeting new people or animals, and managing fear or anxiety in different environments.
What age can my puppy join puppy classes?
Any time from 8 weeks to 16 weeks of age, after their first vaccination at 6 weeks of age. Puppy schools are never run in public parks, only in private and safe spaces with no increased health risks from un-known dogs.
When is the best time to join puppy school?
As early as possible from 8 weeks of age. The best time to join puppy school is typically between 8 to 16 weeks of age. This is when puppies are most receptive to learning and socialising, and their critical developmental period for socialisation occurs. Early training helps set a strong foundation for good behaviour, builds confidence, and reduces the risk of behavioural issues in the future. However, even if your puppy is older, it’s never too late to start training and socialising them! Our teen classes are great for older puppies!
My puppy hasn't been fully vaccinated yet, can I still join puppy school?
Yes, in fact the most important socialisation period for dogs is 8-12 weeks of age, this is ideal for puppy school as well. Studies show no increased health risks in puppy schools and plenty of benefits. Puppy schools should always be run in private locations, not in public outdoors spaces. All our locations are safe and cleaned with F10 which vets use as well.
