Dog Training Mascot – Are You Focused on Long Term Results?
There’s no question about it that to gain any goals we must put some effort and time into it, right? Dog training is no different! Unfortunately TV shows often give us the false idea that issues are fixed in minutes. This is not real though, TV shows only show us what they decided to leave in. There have been hundreds of hours cut out of the end result! This is a good thing to remember! I actually know someone who does acting for ads and little shows and she has been working on a new reality TV show about dogs as a hired “real person”. So she was hired to pretend to be one of these owners in the show who compete against each other with their dogs. Her role to play is a grooming salon owner with a child. In real life, she doesn’t have either kids or dogs and could not groom a dog to save her life. The real owner of the dog is present and commanding the dog from the background. So don’t believe what you see on TV! Eazy Dog Training offers real solutions and dog training in Mascot!
We love to see committed owners working on the foundations for great results: engagement, duration, distance and distraction training!
These are the things we focus on in our obedience classes, teaching you to train your dog! It’s not just us doing it, you will learn a new great skill yourself that will benefit you throughout your life!
Using a shock collar, slip lead (full choker!), spray bottle or keeping your dog on a leash/crate at all times might solve your problem short term but it doesn’t work long term since it doesn’t change the dog’s thinking and therefore behaviour. It only forces them to choose otherwise. Focusing on changing a dog’s way of thinking is the way to real change!
