Fabulous training in a safe homely environment. Very well researched and easy to manage techniques that work in a positive way with excellent results for our two reactive hounds. We can now walk safely without being scared that our dogs will do something silly.

Have done both puppy school and reliable recall training with my cocker spaniel and about to start the obedience course. Anniina is so knowledgeable and explains everything thoroughly so you understand the theory behind the training. The sessions are easy and fun, with immediate results. You leave feeling confident and equipped with the right way to continue the training for results. I've been pleasantly surprised at how quickly my dog's recall has improved with just subtle changes that I've made based on Anniina's training. Highly recommend Eazy Dog Training. Thank you Anniina!

We have done the Teenage dog class and loved Anniina’s demeanour so much we are going back for her obedience course. Anniina just has a way with dogs, and teaches in ways that are so easy to understand. She is professional and personable and you can tell she really loves (and is so good at) what she does. We will use Eazy dog training for all of our dog training needs!

Eazy Training classes for re-active dogs has been amazing for our 9 month miniature schnauzer puppy. We have learnt so much and made great progress, we were beginning to think it would never be possible. Most importantly we feel more confident and relaxed on walks. We will keep it up, thank you Anniina!

Basic manners training is important for every dog!

Everyone wants a well-behaved dog, of course. Good manners make the daily life with your dog a lot easier and fun. And it can even help to keep both of you safe in emergency situations! Most importantly, teaching your dog at least some basic obedience and necessary manners is a crucial part of being a responsible dog owner.

No one enjoys a strange dog jumping on them or stealing their picnic food. And no one enjoys walking a dog who’s pulling like a mad dog! These are every day examples of lack of impulse control. Impulse control is the key to good manners! And I’ve got good news for you – your dog doesn’t have to be naturally good at it, impulse control can be trained!

This 4-week Dog Manners Class Sydney teaches you better dog handling skills in a positive environment.

You Will Learn

Efficient & easy dog training techniques and how to adjust difficulty in your training and set up for success!

Your Dog Will Learn

Basic obedience & manners skills that are useful on a daily basis.

Eazy Dog Training – Dog Manners Class in Sydney

In my 4-week obedience training course in Sydney, we focus on teaching your dog essential manners and obedience skills that make them a joy to be around – both at home and when socializing with others!

Your dog will develop strong impulse control and focus, while you’ll learn how to help them stay calm in stimulating environments. By gaining better control over your dog’s behaviour, you’ll enjoy more meaningful time together. The best part? We practice these new skills around other dogs and people, ensuring your dog is prepared for real-world distractions!

Adult Dog Training Classes in Sydney

Our adult dog training classes in Sydney cover all the essential obedience commands (sit, down, stay, recall, and heel). You’ll also work on impulse control exercises like “leave it” (for food and objects) and teach your dog to calmly pass other dogs without pulling or lunging.

We also tackle common behavioural challenges, such as leash pulling, maintaining focus around distractions (like other dogs), and preventing jumping up on people. After 4 weeks of training, you’ll feel confident handling these tricky situations and know how to keep improving your dog’s behaviour in everyday life. Remember, consistency and practice are key!

By nature, your dog wants your approval. It’s how the pack survives.

Dogs are pack animals, and for the pack to thrive, they must cooperate. Over time, we’ve bred dogs to work alongside us, which is why they have an innate desire to please. However, dogs can’t meet our expectations if they don’t know what those are. Without guidance, they won’t understand what’s required. Dogs should be the ones doing things for us, not the other way around.

A spoiled dog can become a challenge to be around. In our dog manners classes in Sydney, we focus on cultivating that “working” mindset, where your dog learns to work for you. This is what fosters obedience and good manners. And it’s not complicated – with consistent steps and guidance, your dog will learn what’s expected, one step at a time.

Eazy Dog Training Obedience Classes in Sydney Include:

Sit

Teaching your dog to sit is one of the most basic and important commands. It provides a foundation for better control, helping your dog stay calm and focused in various situations. A reliable “sit” command also sets the stage for other behaviors and is essential for keeping your dog safe and well-mannered in everyday life.

Down

Teaching your dog to lie down is a key command that promotes calmness and control. It helps your dog settle in different environments, making them easier to manage during busy situations. “Down” also improves impulse control and lays the groundwork for more advanced training, making it an essential skill for a well-behaved dog.

Stay

Teaching your dog to stay is vital for safety and control. It helps keep your dog in one place, preventing them from running off or getting into dangerous situations. “Stay” also enhances impulse control and is an essential skill for maintaining a well-mannered dog, especially in distracting environments.

Come

Teaching your dog to heel is essential for walks and outdoor activities, ensuring they stay by your side without pulling or tugging. It provides better control, making your walks more enjoyable and safer for both of you. “Heel” also helps your dog focus on you, reducing distractions and fostering a stronger bond between you and your pet.

Heel
Heeling takes a lot of impulse control! Heel means staying close to you as you walk, with or without a lead. This is very useful when passing something you don’t want your dog to get interested in or when face-to-face with a reactive dog on the street. It’s also a great mental exercise and discipline training for your dog!
Calming Down and Focus Exercises

Teaching your dog calming and focus exercises is essential for helping them stay composed in distracting or exciting situations. These exercises improve impulse control, allowing your dog to remain relaxed and attentive, whether you’re at home or out in public. By focusing on you, your dog learns to manage excitement and stress, leading to a more balanced and well-behaved companion.

Leave it

Teaching your dog “leave it” is crucial for their safety and good behavior. It helps prevent your dog from picking up dangerous or undesirable objects, whether it’s food, trash, or something harmful. “Leave it” also improves impulse control and reinforces your ability to manage your dog’s actions in various situations, ensuring a safer and more disciplined companion.

Greeting & Meeting Dogs and People

Teaching your dog proper greeting and meeting manners with other dogs and people is key for fostering positive social interactions. It helps prevent unwanted behaviors like jumping, barking, or aggression when encountering others. By reinforcing calm and respectful greetings, your dog will learn how to behave appropriately in social situations, making outings more enjoyable for everyone.

Positive Reinforcement

Australian Veterinary Association recommends positive reinforcement as the best dog training method. It’s scientifically proven to be the most efficient dog training method in the world.

What does it mean? Positive reinforcement rewards wanted behaviour rather than punishing the dog for unwanted behaviour. Therefore training and learning become enjoyable for your dog.

Positive reinforcement methods are used in this dog manners class in Sydney Park for long lasting results!
