How to Find a Good Dog Training Class?

There are lots of options for dog training in Sydney. So how to know what to choose?

Finding a good dog training class in Sydney can be tricky if you don’t know what to look for. Here are my tips!

Professional and experienced dog trainer

A good class is run by a professional dog trainer with a lot of experience in training all kinds of dogs. This is more difficult to find than you would think. For example, most dog training clubs are run by volunteers that might not even be trainers or they might be studying to become one. So the learning really depends on your own effort outside the class and the ability to learn on your own.

Small Classes

I’ve trained in an obedience training club that was very affordable…But also very distracting even to the most obedient dogs. There were at least 50 dogs training at the same time and I stopped after a few months because the training was stuck at the same level for that whole time.

Structured classes vs. on-going training

When you book a dog training class in Sydney you get structured lessions planned by a dog trainer designed to take your training to the next level. This is why I can’t accept people to join in in the middle of the class. Each class is build on the previous one to ensure progress. This doesn’t happen in on-going training classes where the less trained dictate the speed of progress. So just like me in my obedience training club, you’ll end up repeating the same things over and over again.
