Is your dog well-behaved at home but out of control anywhere else?
I’m very often told by dog owners that their dog is very well-behaved at home, but the problems start outside. This is very common. We are all comfortable and relaxed at home, because it’s familiar and we’ve got used to the distractions there. This is true with dogs as well. That’s why socialisation, distraction training and teaching manners is so crucial. I work as a dog trainer in Stanmore and Inner West Sydney and offer private home dog training as well as adult dog training classes where you can freshen up your dog’s manners and obedience skills.
Distraction Training Matters
The most common thing dog owners forget is distraction training. It’s completely different to obey you at home, where nothing else is happening than in a busy dog park with so many other, usually more fun, things around. That’s why we need to practise around distractions as well!
It’s all about impulse control, focus and management, when we train around distractions
A dog manners class would be ideal for this type of training. It’s a controlled environment with other dogs and people around. A great place to master your obedience skills!

Dog Obedience Training Inner West Sydney
I use positive, reward-based training methods that are fun for both you and your dog. And no, reward-based training doesn’t mean that you’re bribing your dog with treats to do what you want or that you’ll need to use rewards forever.
Eazy Dog Training Obedience and Dog Manners Classes run for 4 weeks. Training includes learning basic manners and how dogs learn, and then moves on to more advanced exercises such as stay, not jumping up, walking on a loose lead with distractions, coming when called with distractions, leave it, focus exercises, maintaining control and so on.
