Do you lose control of your dog around distractions? Does your dog jump on people? Or pull and lunge on lead? It sounds like my dog obedience class in Eastern Suburbs would be perfect for you!

Obedience training is important for every dog!

Everyone wants a well-behaved dog, there’s no question about it. But it’s often easier said than done. A dog’s behaviour is shaped by their personality, experiences and environment, and training has a huge impact on how they behave, especially outdoors which can often be very over-stimulating and exciting. Good obedience skills make daily life with your dog a lot easier and fun. And let’s face it, teaching your dog at least some basic obedience and necessary manners is a crucial part of being a responsible dog owner.

Dog Manners Class in Queens Park

In my obedience class in the Eastern Suburbs, we focus on skills that make a dog a pleasure to be around – and take with you to be around others too! All the dogs in the class will learn great impulse control skills and the focus exercises will improve their engagement with their owners – which is the key aspect to having an obedient dog! And all the owners will learn how to calm their dogs down around distractions and gain better control around exciting things such as other dogs and people. Learning to control and manage your dog better will give you and your dog more quality time together!

Adult Dog Training Classes in Eastern Suburbs of Sydney

My basic obedience training classes in Sydney include all the basic obedience commands (sit, down, stay, recall and heel.) You’ll also learn great impulse control exercises such as leave it (with food and objects) and passing other dogs in a calm and polite manner without pulling or lunging at them.

And we practise all those difficult situations that many people struggle with, like pulling on a leash, focusing on your around distractions and jumping up on people. After just 4 weeks you’ll know how to handle those difficult situations and how to continue improving your dog’s behaviour. After all, it’s all about practise!
