Eazy Dog Training – Your Canine Trainer in Sydney
Dogs can and should be rewarded in many different ways on daily basis. I myself follow a ‘nothing in life is free’ rule for my dog, she needs to earn everything she gets. When we look at the list of potential rewards, it’s no wonder some dogs struggle to obey around distractions! Here’s advice from a professional canine trainer in Sydney.
Examples of rewards:
- High value treats like cheese, chicken, any kind of cooked meat, peanut butter etc.
- Low value treats like kibble, dry dog treats, Schmackos, vegetables etc.
- Toy
- Ball/Frisbee
- Tug of war
- Walk
- Playtime with you or other dogs
- Greeting a dog or a person
- Cuddles/pats
- Attention (talking to the dog, looking at her etc.)
- Praise
- Freedom (off leash)
- Staying in the same space with you/guests
