beginners agility class

Eazy Dog training Sydney Runs Beginners Agility Class in Inner West Sydney. Here’s some advice on what skills you can practise at home to prepare for dog agility training.

Stay

Dog agility training is all about speed. You need to be fast enough to make good time to beat the others. For this reason a reliable stay command allows you to get a few obstacles ahead of your dog at the start of the course. But it’s also important for practising obstacles and running a course, because you can’t always stay right next to your dog.

Going Around Obstacles

Agility course isn’t always straight forward, it’s actually sometimes quite difficult. Your dog needs to be able to go around obstacles to make better time and the course smoother for running. This is something you can train anywhere, you simply need a tree or a pole of any sort to go around.

Following Handling

Dog agility is all about guiding your dog trough an obstacle course. This means that your dog needs to be able to follow your handling. This is a skill just like any other.
