Does Your Dog Refuse Treats When Other Dogs Are Around? No Worries, There’s an Easy Solution!
Eazy Dog Training Offers Adult Dog Training Classes in Newtown (in Sydney Park).
If a dog is more focused on other things around him, there’s usually one reason for it. You aren’t using treats that are valuable enough! Most often in these cases the owner is using dry treats or kibble. It might work at home, but not around distractions!
Try these treats the next time your dog loses focus:
- Cheese
- Chicken
- Franks cut in small pieces
- Home made liver treats that have been left a bit chunky
- Beef tail in small bits
I bet these ones will get your dog’s focus! Dog training is all about motivating dogs to obey on their own. When this is achieved, the next step is to focus on fading out treats and body language. But, it’s not something to talk about right now…I’ll tell you more on Saturday!
