My First Agility Trial – Dog Agility Training

I took part in my very first Agility trial yesterday.

Join my Dog Agility Training in Sydney, if you are looking for a fun new hobby with your dog!

We have been training agility with Sansa for a year now. We started when she was 9 months old and in Feb we joined our current training club. On Sunday we had our first competition.

The day was long and started early. I had booked Sansa in 3 runs: intermediate, starters and elementary. The first one was in the morning but the next two late in the arvo. So there was quite a bit of waiting around, while getting tired and hungry.

Sansa did very well with her first run and cleared it! First trial run ever and already a clear one! The next two runs I ruined for her, but she managed to get two 1st places and one 3rd. So not bad for a first agility trial ever! I couldn’t be more proud of her!

All runs were quite easy and it should have been easy to clear all of them, but as I learned, it’s very important to pack enough food for the day. I tend to lose focus when tired and hungry. But she didn’t!
