Build a Better Bond with Your Dog in 30 days
Follow one simple suggestion per day to improve your dog’s behaviour and strengthen your bond!
10TH DAY
Create a nose-powered treasure hunt!
Dogs need mental exercise as much as they need physical exercise. A bored dog can be a real headache: barking, reactivity, destructive behaviours, over-excitement… The list goes on and on. So, make sure you provide enough mental stimulation each day and you’ll benefit greatly from the calm and well mannered dog you’ll have in return.
Treat Hunt Game
This game takes very little time to set up and is super fun for dogs.
Have your dog wait in another room while you hide small tasty treats all over the house for her to find. Leave some of them in plain sight so your dog gets the idea. Hide the rest of them underneath/behind/on things/furniture.
Or if your dog has a reliable ‘stay’ command, hide the treats in front of your dog. And don’t worry, she won’t remember all of them and still has to work for it. This let’s you work on “stay” until you release your dog to find the hidden treats.
You can also use dog puzzles, snuffle mats, treat balls etc. to entertain your dog in an easy and effortless way.
