Fabulous training in a safe homely environment. Very well researched and easy to manage techniques that work in a positive way with excellent results for our two reactive hounds. We can now walk safely without being scared that our dogs will do something silly.

Have done both puppy school and reliable recall training with my cocker spaniel and about to start the obedience course. Anniina is so knowledgeable and explains everything thoroughly so you understand the theory behind the training. The sessions are easy and fun, with immediate results. You leave feeling confident and equipped with the right way to continue the training for results. I've been pleasantly surprised at how quickly my dog's recall has improved with just subtle changes that I've made based on Anniina's training. Highly recommend Eazy Dog Training. Thank you Anniina!

We have done the Teenage dog class and loved Anniina’s demeanour so much we are going back for her obedience course. Anniina just has a way with dogs, and teaches in ways that are so easy to understand. She is professional and personable and you can tell she really loves (and is so good at) what she does. We will use Eazy dog training for all of our dog training needs!

Eazy Training classes for re-active dogs has been amazing for our 9 month miniature schnauzer puppy. We have learnt so much and made great progress, we were beginning to think it would never be possible. Most importantly we feel more confident and relaxed on walks. We will keep it up, thank you Anniina!

Train your dog like a professional, class for life skills and engagement!

Have you ever wondered how professional dog trainers train their dogs? Well, it’s not just fun and games, a lot of it is focused on calm manners around distractions and engagement with the owner, not the environment. And that’s what this class teaches you to focus on! A great relationship with your dog means that you need to do engagement training and teach your dog that you are the most fun thing around. It also means teaching your dog to ignore distractions and be able to calm down when needed. These are the important life skills I focus on with my own dogs, and guess what? They are a pleasure to be around! And calm when left waiting!

Good Life Skills Make Your Life Easier!

Everyone wants a well-behaved dog who doesn’t become a menace outdoors, of course. Good, calm manners make daily life with your dog a lot easier and enjoyable. No one enjoys a dog who can not calm down when you are trying to focus on something else. Or a dog who whines and barks when you leave them waiting outside a cafe. These are just a few examples of the skills we will practise!

This Dog Life Skills Class Is Perfect For:

Young dogs from 16 weeks of age, this is a perfect class for reinforcing calm manners early on!

Owners who want to improve their relationship with their dog.

Dogs who need calming down practise in different every day situations.

Anyone who wants their dog to focus on them, not the environment and who wish to improve their dog's every day manners!

This Class Is NOT Suited For:

Reactive or aggressive dogs who can not calm down around other dogs or distractions.

Dogs needing socialisation, there’s no socialisation in a form of dog play in this class.

Severely anxious dogs, private training is a better option for them!

This 4-week Dog Life Skills Class in Sydney Teaches Your Dog the Important Skills Needed in Everyday Life!

You Will Learn

Engagement exercises to improve your relatioship with your dog and create a strong bond between the two of you!

How to reinforce calm behaviour and impulse control skills around distractions and every day situations

Your Dog Will Learn

Manners skills that can be used on a daily basis.

To ignore distractions

Self-control and discipline in different environments and situations.

This Dog Life Skills Class Includes:

Sit

Simple yet efficient command to help your dog to calm down and wait nicely when you are not near. We use this simple command to teach calmness near other dogs, around distractions and when calmly waiting!

No more whining, barking and anxiety when you try to get your morning coffee!

Calming Down When Greeting People on the Street

Does your dog turn into a nightmare when pump into someone you know on the street? Every dog should learn to calm down and do nothing, especially around distractions and in every day situations such as when talking on the phone or chatting with someone on the street!

Road Awareness

Teaching a calm sit in front of roads when walking can be a life saving skill. We work in this – called automatic sit – in this class!

Ignoring Other Dogs and People

This class is not for playtime or socialisation with other dogs. One of the most important life skills every dog should learn is ignoring other dogs and people. This way you don’t need to chase your dog around the park because they are running after everyone or feel embarrassed at cafes because your dog can not settle. There should be a time and place for playtime, it’s not something to do all the time with everyone!

Engagement with You

This is why dog trainers’ dogs are so obedient: they absolutely adore their owners and want to do things with them, not with the environment. In this class you will learn fun engagement exercises that will help you create a strong bond with your dog!

Did you know that for your dog everything around them has some sort of value? The most common issue people have with their dogs is that their dog loses focus when anything else, more interesting, is around.

This leads up to chasing your dog at the park, yelling at them, luring them with treats etc.  And it’s not fun for anyone! A dog should obey and focus on you anytime because they want to – not because nothing more interesting was around! We’ll build up this focus by making you more valuable to your dog.

Teaching Your Dog to Wait for Your Permission

One of the first life skills I teach my own dogs is that things are only ever given to them, they should never just take anything. This applies to me giving them food, treats, toys, bones – anything at all! And it also means not taking things from tables or just because they have access to it. And we will teach you how you can train your dog to do the same!

Tethering & Calm Waiting

A lot of dogs start to show signs of anxiety and impatience when tethered. All dogs should learn to wait calmly when tethered or under a ‘wait’ command, this makes our lives with them a lot more enjoyable!

Learning How to Train Reliable Life Skills

Dogs need to learn what is expected of them. We will use treats to motivate them to offer the behaviours we need but we need to also fade away the treats to create reliable obedience skills. In this class you will learn how to train dogs using positive training methods and how to work towards your goal: having a dog who obeys you whether you have treats or not!

For this class you’ll need:

Kong toy(s)

Licky mat

Something delicious to chew on such as a bully stick, pig ear, bone etc.
